This is what happens everyday...
08-03-2012 "Confused"
Have you ever come to a sign like this during the course of your life? And I am not talking about an actual traffic light, but at something you can see and feel in your brain, something that gives you a hard stop but that does not tell you what happens next.
I gather we all have had a chance to feel like that at some point. The trick is how to handle this difficult instant and how to ignore the yellow and red and keep going through the green.
Starting again is the hardest thing to do once you have stopped. So, it is probably much better just to keep moving!06-20-2012 "Get Ready"
Many times in life you may come to realize you are ready to do more than what you currently do, to assume bigger responsabilities and to be much more. But it is quite likely that those realizations do not match with the current opportunities you have to advance.
When I took this shot, I wondered for a while why would this thing be here in the middle of nowhere, and then I realized that it was simple: you have to be prepared, no matter what, because you chance may come at any time. I am sure that at some point something will be build here, and then this hydrant will make much more sense!
Be ready!06-18-2012 "Missing Piece"
We all feel like missing a piece of our lives at one time or another... sometimes more than one at a time.
As you grow old and hopefully wiser, you find out that you are actually looking at this matter the wrong way: it is not about the pieces you are missing, it is all about the ones you already have in place.
Learn to appreciate what you have and do not spend too much time on stuff you do not... what is yours comes in time and usually by itself.06-17-2012 "Some things never change..."
Coffee certainly defines the mornings and afternoons of most Costa Ricans. This moment is a truly intimate moment, when quick exchanges are made over the latest news or familly issues.
While it is true that many customs change over time, one that has not changed in my thirty something years is this one... and I am willing to bet this is not going to change for many years to come :-)
