Just in time for #freakyfriday my freaky plant decided to bloom after dark! I am not sure what kind of plant it is, but it is the first time it blooms in 5 years (since I got it). It smells wonderful too: the scent has spread thru the garden and beyond. A very nice way to end the day.
Nature, it seems, might be a lot like a child trying out stuff for the first time. This tree is living proof: Nature could not decide which color to use and then said: “Screw this, let’s use them all!”. Thus the Rainbow Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus deglupta) came into being as a very colorful tree, at least its trunk! These guys grow very, very tall and their bark peels off frequently, letting you peek into new colors. Today, even with a terribly overcast sky, the tree managed to keep some of its lively colors for the picture.
